In this set of pieces for solo piano the composer recalls aspects of her childhood, with many set in the Illawarra region of New South Wales, Australia. Written from an adult’s perspective, Scenes from an Australian Childhood depicts a country whose flora, fauna and natural weather patterns created a vibrant and exciting environment.
