ABOUT
Hiscocks initially arranged Fauré’s famous Pavane for piano students to enjoy. Her transcription was a natural fit for Roy Howat’s series of Faure’s piano music he was editing for Edition Peters. The preface draws attention to the faster tempo preferred by Faure who explained the light hearted nature of the Pavane was not to be treated as if it were a piece of German Romanticism.
