Pax Musica
Rarely performed music and three Premieres are among the highlights at CAM’s free concert of choral music this month featuring Australian and British composers…
The concert at Trinity College Cambridge on Saturday 14 February at 7.30pm will open with Pax Musica by Thomas Pitfield and will include his rarely performed and unrecorded work Two Angel Songs.
“Equally rare and never recorded is Spring and Nightingale Lane by Arthur Benjamin, an Australian-born pianist and composer who was well known for his concert and film music in the UK and abroad,”
Said CAM director Wendy Hiscocks

Premieres of work by Wendy Hiscocks, Melanie Spanswick and Stephen Adams will also be performed as part of the programme which explores themes of love, hope and praise.

Composer Stephen Adams gives a brief introduction to his piece Sydney Dreaming which was composed in 1988 and inspired by the sound environment of Redfern in the city and the tensions between two neighbourhoods.
