Explorer Goes East premiere

CAM is thrilled to be supporting the world premiere of Wendy Hiscocks’ much awaited set of piano of duets inspired by China, indonesia, Mongolia, and Cambodia as part of a concert of piano duets in Indonesia…

Piano duettists Nigel Clayton and Imma Setiadi will present a CAM programme in the fourth recital of a piano festival hosted by the Pelita Harapan University (UPH) on 8 September 2023.

Other Australian works feature two celebrated rumbas: the first by Arthur Benjamin and the second by John Carmichael (pictured).

Explorer Goes East follows on from Explorer – Piano Duets for adventurous Students and Teachers. The latter is a collection of 27 piano duets is for pianists from beginner up to Grade 2 and their teachers. It is available from Revolution Arts.
