South Wales meets New South Wales – now live on YouTube!

South Wales meets New South Wales is now LIVE on YouTube – you can watch online the complete concert which runs for just over 52 minutes.

Our free digital programme to the concert gives all the texts for the songs in both Welsh and English, together with background information about each of the composers and the performers. Feel free to save a copy or print one out to follow as you watch the concert.

This project bridges two worlds – both with a strong personal connection to CAM’s director, Wendy Hiscocks: the world of her great-grandparents from South Wales – and the world of her Welsh grandfather Oliver, who migrated to Australia. 

The initial idea came to Wendy when she found herself driving down the M4 motorway towards Barry in South Wales. It was only during the 2020 lockdown when Jeremy Huw Williams established contact, that the programme gained its present focus.

And the result is this fabulous concert of music which we are now delighted to share with you.
