Dance Macabre

Saint Saëns arr. Hiscocks

piano duet

WATCH

ABOUT

Wendy Hiscocks and Roy Howat enjoyed programming the two-piano version of Saint-Saëns’ Danse macabre in concert and were naturally interested in adding the music to their repertoire for piano duet. The arrangement they bought by Ernest Guiraud, however, proved disappointing so Hiscocks completed her own arrangement which is more observant of Saint-Saëns’ sizzling piano writing.
